Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to another instalment of Nessa reads and reviews! I’m reviewing Sali Hughes’ Pretty Honest: The Straight-Talking Beauty Companion with a full face of makeup. It’s a Saturday afternoon and my plans for today consist of writing up this review and sitting on the couch catching

A tropical fruit basket I tell ya!
up on David Attenborough’s Our Planet documentary on Netflix. Still, I did a green smoky eye, put on foundation, blush, highlight and toped everything with a red lipstick just for the heck of it. Because I enjoy the combination of green eyeshadow and red lipstick. Because it’s the weekend, I have no prior obligations and I can play with makeup. However, if a friend invited me out for coffee or dinner or just to hang out… I have absolutely no problem going out of the house looking like a tropical fruit basket. 🙂 I happen to enjoy colourful eye looks, and greens and blues are among my favourite colours. What can I say, I’m a 80s girl. 😀 Although my makeup experimentations are amusing (at least to me they are, and on that high not I’m attaching a picture of me looking like a tropical fruit basket. You’re welcome and I’m sorry. 😀 ) I need to stop digressing and get back to reviewing this book.

Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to the blog! I mentioned at the end of my last review that I’ll be participating in Dewey’s Readathon that would be held on Saturday April 6th. The official start time was on Saturday at 8:00 EDT, or 14:00 CEST for Croatian readers. April’s Readathon ended a couple of hours ago and since it’s raining this afternoon in Split I decided to write down some musings about the event and review my to-read pile in one go. Two birds, one blog post. 😀

Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to another instalment of Nessa reads and reviews! I’m starting the reviews for the month of April with a history book. 🙂 I was planning to review Catherine Hanley’s Matilda in March, since March is Women’s History Month, but my schedule didn’t work out, therefore I’m opening April with it. Actually, the whole process of acquiring the book, reading it and writing the review is going faster than I thought it would, and it’s definitely faster than usual. Most of the time I get a book, put it on my already too long “To Read List”, put the book on the shelf and then the book is judgmentally looking at me from its shelf for months. “You said you’re going to read me and here I am, sitting on your shelf twiddling my imaginary thumbs and waiting… So are you gonna read me today?” Yes, I am aware that books are inanimate objects that neither judge nor talk, but THERE IS METHOD TO MY MADNESS! 😀 Usually. 😀

Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to another instalment of Nessa reads and reviews! In this issue I’m reviewing Locke & Key – a comic book series written by Joe Hill, illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez, coloured by Jay Fotos, letters by Robbie Robbins. Although I like comic books and manga in general, this is the first time I’m reviewing one of these for the blog. Or reviewing them in general, besides telling someone I read it and I liked it. 😀 So I do apologise if my review of a comic book series is not in accordance to comic book review standards (is there such a thing?) I’m just being me and trying to sort what I think about this series. 🙂 Business as usual in château de Nessa. 🙂
