Recenzija: Republika Smrtnika

Recenzija: Republika Smrtnika

Pozdrav dragi štioci i dobrodošli u hrvatsku verziju serijala Nessa čita i piše recenzije! 🙂 Danas vam predstavljam recenziju knjige Republika smrtnika autorice Tanje Radman. 🙂 I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Review: The Uskoks of Senj

Review: The Uskoks of Senj

Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to another instalment of Nessa reads and reviews. I’m really excited about this review because this is the 50th book I’ve read this year for my Goodreads challenge! 🙂 It’s also the book that took me the longest to finish! I started it on May 1st and finished it on November 21st! That’s over 6 months! >_< The reasons it took me so long to finish wary from: I didn’t have time… I wasn’t in the mood… I got lost in the footnotes… However, that doesn’t imply that the book is dull or drudgery; on the contrary the subject is fascinating, well researched and marvellously written. Academic books simply take me longer to read because of the richness and complexity of the work. I’ll touch on that subject a bit later.

Bookshelf corner chat: Interliber 2018 and TBR pile

Bookshelf corner chat: Interliber 2018 and TBR pile

Hello dear reader(s) and welcome back to the blog! Today I completed my Goodreadsbook challenge by finishing my 50th book for this year and I just wanted to have a casual chat about everything and anything book related. 🙂 I usually don’t do chatty blog posts, but recently I’ve been thinking a lot about writing a few lines about the books or series that I’m currently reading or planning to read. Or just typing up a reading list for the upcoming month and posting it on the blog so I can stick to it and not start books and series willy-nilly. I’m notorious for starting something, than putting it on hold because I stumbled upon something that currently intrigued me and started reading that because the mood hit me and so on.
